Life Update 2019

Now that I’ve turned this new page of relaunching my blog, I feel like it’s only right to update you all on what’s going on in our lives right now, and what our upcoming plans are for the near future.

For starters, as many of you know, I quit my beloved job at Munchkin, Inc during my maternity leave, as I was presented with the opportunity from a close family friend to join her at a startup tech company, where I could work from home as a Project Coordinator. Although I had great potential in my position at Munchkin and truly loved it there, I just could not turn down the offer of being able to be home with my babies every day. Quitting and accepting the remote position was the best thing for me and my family at this time.

Eventually, I may seek out another office position, as I feel that I thrive in an environment with other creative and like-minded adults, but for now, this is my life and I am so happy with it!

Aside from working full-time for this company, I (obviously) am really trying to put a lot more effort into my social media presence by relaunching my blog and putting more content out there for you all to see. Writing has always brought so much joy into my life, and now that I’m in the position to put more time and effort into it, I am doing just that. My hope for the near future is that I can transition into “blogging” full-time!

Adrian officially graduated with his Bachelor’s degree May of last year. Since then, he has acquired a full-time position at MGA Entertainment on the Brand Management team for L.O.L. Surprise! How funny that we both worked for “kid product” companies and are ironically within walking distance of each other? He is thriving there and loves it (Ayda definitely loves the product perks too!) He hopes to continue to grow there professionally and see what comes of it. On top of that, he’s also getting his Master’s degree online and is expected to graduate in December of this year.

As far as our kids go, Ayda is currently in preschool two days a week, which is great for both me and her. She gets to interact with kids and be in a learning setting, and I get a little break in the middle of the week. Luca is attached to my hip 24/7 and I’m loving every minute of it!

Lately, we’ve been referring to this phase in our life as the “top of the mountain.” The last 5 years that we’ve been together, it’s been nothing but uphill climbing, balancing school, working multiple jobs, bringing not one but two babies into the mix, sharing our lives on social media, and just transitioning into adulthood in general. We feel like we have finally reached the top of the mountain that we’ve been climbing for so long. Everything we’ve worked for is coming to life and the view up here is so beautiful.

We can’t wait to see what’s on the other side.
